Responding to requests by your student reps for additional SketchUp tutorials Harry Margait, Architecture program head, has kindly offered to pay for three tutorial sessions in the second week of the break.
The format of these tutorials will be as follows; Jeremy Harkins and Rosamond Kember will be based on the second floor of the Red Center outside the computer labs, at the dates/times listed below. Students can set up their laptops on the green desks, or in either of the two computer labs. Jeremy and Rosamond will then circulate to answer specific question you have regarding modeling in SketchUp (i.e. not design related questions). Meeting with them will be on a first come first served basis.
If questions can be answered by re-watching the tutorials on the SketchUp training webpage (here: http://www.sketchup.com/intl/en/training/videos/new_to_gsu.html ) then they will point you to those. These tutorials are to help you with specific issues/techniques ... not to teach you the basics; the SketchUp video tutorials already do a great job of that.
The dates and times are as follows:
Monday 8th of April; 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Tuesday 9th of April; 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Wednesday 10th of April; 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Final note; please don't leave it until 7:25pm on the last day to ask your 'critical question' ... I assure you it won't end well if you do.
